NICEVILLE — The Northwest Florida State College Presidential Search Committee is getting ready to interview applicants for the college's next president.
The committee accepted applications from Nov. 2015 through Jan. 22, after settling on qualifications needed for the post. They received more than 130 applications and nominations.
“We are very pleased with the response to our advertising and marketing efforts for the next president of NWF State College,” said Brian Pennington, chairman, NWFSC Board of Trustees.
“It appears there are many well-qualified candidates in the pool of applications received. The search committee is currently beginning the process of evaluating the full pool of candidates and will meet in early February to develop a pool of semifinal candidates to be further screened and interviewed in person.
"Our activities remain on schedule and are progressing very well. We look forward to the next steps in our nationwide search for the next president of Nwf State College,” Pennington said.
