CRESTVIEW — A minor flood warning is in effect for the Shoal River near Crestview.
Website accuweather.com — based on information from the US National Weather Service — states the warning is in force from after midnight Friday, Feb. 5 through 6 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 7.
At 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, the stage was 7.8 feet. Flood stage is 8 feet, at which point minor flooding hits low-lying areas.
Waters are forecast to rise above flood stage after midnight tomorrow and continue to rise near 8.4 feet by early Saturday morning.
