CRESTVIEW — Now, two Crestview men are accused of attempting to murder a man at a Chestnut Avenue home.
Jerrod Itzen, 28, and James Dakota Ziglar, 20, are each charged with the Aug. 30 first-degree premeditated murder or Joshua Armstrong.
Ziglar had been arrested Aug. 31 in connection with the crime. Now, after interviews with the victim, the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office believes Itzen was more involved at the crime scene.
Itzen handled a .380-caliber pistol and passed it to Ziglar, who shot Armstrong once in the head from about 2 feet away, according to the OCSO.
Itzen then grabbed the gun, threw it into the back yard next door and he and Ziglar fled the scene, according to the OCSO.
Itzen also is charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted Florida felon.
