Crestview company's founder appointed to university trustee board

CRESTVIEW — Florida Gov. Rick Scott appointed a Crestview company's founder and CEO to the University of West Florida Board of Trustees.

Robert Sires,founder of Bay State Cable Ties in Crestview, succeeds Garrett Walton for a five-year term beginning March 24 and ending Jan. 6, 2021.

Sires currently also serves as a board member for Unipharm Inc. and Roman Capital LLC. He received his bachelor’s degree from Quinnipiac University.

“I am honored to accept this appointment,” Sires said. “We at Bay State Cable Ties are committed to supporting the Northwest Florida community, and I look forward to making meaningful contributions as a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of West Florida.”
