HOLT — So-called smash-and-grab car burglars have targeted Northwest Florida with a string of incents stretching from Holt to Niceville, Fort Walton Beach and Destin.
What can you do to help prevent becoming a victim?
It’s simple: “Do not leave valuables in your car,” an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office media release states. “Make sure these thieves (leave) empty-handed and please help us spread this message to all the folks you know.”
