NICEVILLE — Northwest Florida State College’s board of trustees is terminating the search for its next president with RPA Inc. and will explore a contract with a new search firm.
The board deliberated on all three finalist candidates for the position:
●Dr. Anthony Tricoli, president/CEO, Boys and Girls Club of the Monroe (East Tennessee) Area and Higher Education Consultant, formerly Georgia Perimeter College president
●Dr. Juston Pate, Hazard Community and Technical College interim president
●Dr. Sasha Jarrell, NWFSC interim president
Board members will meet 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 to evaluate proposals from new search firms and select members for a Presidential Search Advisory Committee.
Brian Pennington, chairman, and other board members affirmed their confidence in Jarrell’s performance as interim president. The board also praised current members of the Presidential Search Advisory Committee and their efforts in the search process.
“The fact that the trustees did not choose a candidate today is merely a reflection of the board’s commitment to hiring the best candidate to lead the institution at this important juncture in the college’s future,” Pennington said.
