Crestview woman sentenced 35 years for attacking husband

CRESTVIEW — A Crestview woman faces 35 years in state prison for attacking her husband.

A jury convicted Nicole Cheri Parker on Feb. 11 for aggravated battery with great bodily harm and a deadly weapon.

Witnesses at a Charlie Day Road home in Baker said Parker cut her husband last May while he fought with her ex-husband.

Investigators said Parker ran from the scene into nearby woods.

An Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit located Parker’s purse, some clothes and a knife in the area.

Circuit Judge Michael Flowers classified Parker as a prison releasee reoffender and habitual violent felony offender, and required that 30 years of the sentence be served, day for day, with no early release.
