The Warrior Challenge is a group of current and former Army Rangers who raised funds for their participation and completion of the 2015 Pensacola Marathon Presented by Publix. Additionally, all event participants could donate to the cause during their registration process. This is the fourth year the Warrior Challenge group has partnered with the Pensacola Marathon to raise funds.
Brad King, founder of the Warrior Challenge and former Army Ranger said, “We are thrilled to partner with Pensacola Sports to have the opportunity to award these scholarships to deserving individuals. Giving back and helping others is an important aspect of the Army Ranger life and culture. This is just a small way for us help someone who may need some assistance to extend their education.”
“The Warrior Challenge group should be commended for their efforts for wanting to give back and make a difference,” Pensacola Sports Executive Director Ray Palmer said. “They came to us with the idea several years ago and they have taken off with it and grown it. I’m glad we can use our event, the Pensacola Marathon, to help with their cause.”
