Crestview resident among students honored for Blackwater Review contributions

NICEVILLE — During an April 18 reception hosted by Blackwater Review, Northwest Florida State College’s annual journal of literature and art, three students were honored for their contributions to this year’s journal. The reception was held in the McIlroy Gallery at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center.

Jaclyn Tipton of Crestview was awarded the Blackwater Review Editors' Prize for Fiction. The Collegiate High School student set to graduate with an associate in arts degree in May.

Niceville residents Candace Harbin and Jocelyn Donahoo won the Editor's Prizes For Art and Poetry, respectively.

The 2016 Blackwater Review is available for purchase in the Barnes & Noble Bookstore on the Niceville campus.
