Antioch Elementary art show is May 19

Jellyfish have their own section at Antioch Elementary School. Students created the artwork featured in the displays in Okaloosa Volunteer Art Lesson classes about Robert Wyland, a Northwest Florida-based marine artist.

CRESTVIEW — Antioch Elementary School will host its annual art show May 19.

The event is open to the public and hours are 5-7 p.m. May 19 at the school, 4700 Whitehurst Lane.

The show not only gives attendees a glimpse of what students have been working on throughout the year, but also is a way to provide art classes next school year. All proceeds benefit the school's art program, as there is no Antioch art teacher.

A silent auction, musical performances and more are scheduled. Attendees will also get to see students' ocean art projects based on Robert Wyland's works, which line the hallways.
