SEARCY, Ark. — Caleb Overton of Crestview departed May 11 for a six-week study abroad in Florence, Rome, Vienna and London with Harding University.
Overton, a music major, will explore cultural centers in Europe while learning of connections among music, art and history.
Students explore Florence, Italy, opera’s birthplace, during the Maggio Musicale music festival.
Trips to Pisa, Sienna and San Gimignano are also expected.
Overton recently was named to Harding’s dean’s list. More than 1,300 Harding students have a 3.65 or higher grade point average and made the list.
