CRESTVIEW — Nate Hernandez, of Crestview, has been selected to participate in the 2016 U.S. Naval Academy Summer STEM program.
The science, technology, engineering and mathematics-focused program will help him become more familiar with Naval Academy education provided to midshipmen, and will help him gain exposure to one of the “best undergraduate engineering programs” in the country, as ranked by U.S. News & World Report.
Nate — an Okaloosa STEMM Academy student and rising Crestview High School freshman — will travel to Annapolis, Md., in June for the experience.
