Crestview, Baker residents among NWF State College Criminal Justice grads

Six North Okaloosa County residents are among these recent Northwest Florida State College Corrections Basic Training program graduates.

CRESTVIEW — On June 3, Northwest Florida State College recognized students who successfully completed the Criminal Justice Training Center's vocational certificate program for Corrections Basic Training.

Included were John Basilio, Joel Carden, Trent Greger, Jessica Mock and Eugenia Senterfitt of Crestview, and Allyson Orsa of Baker.

The graduates  are now eligible to take the State Officer Certification Exam. Once they pass the Florida exam, they can become employed as sworn corrections officers in the state of Florida.

The Corrections Academy at NWF State College is an intense, 420-hour program that provides students with instruction in a comprehensive curriculum mandated by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

The Criminal Justice Training Center offers day corrections academies beginning in the fall and spring semesters.
