A personal finance website, www.valuepenguin.com, has compiled a report on the safest Florida cities according to violent and property crime data.
The data came from 2014 FBI crime statistics, and only towns with 5,000 or more residents were included in the report.
Final crimes scores ranged from 328 to 8,221.
Crestview, with 23,251 residents, comes in at 114th in overall safety, 132 in violent crimes, and 98th in property crimes.
Violent crime per 100,000 residents in Crestview is 551, and property crime per 100,000 residents is 3,183, which resulted in a final crime score of 2,351.
