Crestview man charged with sexual battery of a child

CRESTVIEW — The Crestview Police Department has arrested a suspect in a sexual battery of a child that occurred in the parking lot of a local business on July 27.

Police received a tip from Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers after a photograph from a surveillance camera was posted on their website that shows the suspect’s vehicle.

On Aug. 17, the Crestview Police Department arrested 43-year-old Samuel Matthew Mosley Jr., of Juniper Drive in Crestview, and charged him with sexual battery with actual physical force or by using a deadly weapon, a life felony in Florida.

Police arrested Mosley shortly after 1 p.m. at his residence and delivered him into the custody of the Okaloosa County Jail without incident.
