Okaloosa student speech competition set

CRESTVIEW — The county level of a district speech competition is scheduled soon in Crestview.

Okaloosa students ages 14 to 18 may compete in the event, and must prepare their speeches personally without any visual aids or video conferencing.

The topic for the contest is: What is an Unmanned Aerial System and how can it be used to impact agriculture?

The Okaloosa portion of the Florida Farm Bureau Youth Speech Contest is 6 p.m. Sept. 6 at the farm bureau office, 921 James Lee Blvd. W.

The winner of the Okaloosa level will advance to district level, followed by state level competition Oct. 27.
