News Bulletin launches bold new look

The Crestview News Bulletin in your hands Wednesday will be much different from the paper you read last weekend.

Sure, the stories and photos are different — that’s to be expected when you create North Okaloosa County’s public record; you publish notable happenings in an ever-changing world — but that’s not the only change. The newspaper has a bold new look.

GateHouse Media, our parent company, recently directed page layout services to the Center for News and Design. This award-winning hub will ensure the News Bulletin is more visually pleasing. The paper will have a cleaner, easier to read layout.

Our pages now feature bolder headlines, new colors and larger type. These changes follow plenty of planning, consideration of reader input and countless hours of hard work.

However, this is about more than looks.

The CND places high value on strong visual journalism, accuracy, creativity, innovation, customer service, diversity, teamwork and commitment.

Miguel Espitia, Adriana Rangel and Mandy Bernal, who designed our Midweek Edition, truly espouse all these values. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with them for this launch.

Our entire team is excited about the facelift, which was long overdue; I hope you are, too.

You can expect more great changes as we work tirelessly to better serve you in this print edition and on www.crestviewbulletin.com.

Thank you for reading the News Bulletin.
