CRESTVIEW — The third annual Foster Families Fun Day set for Sept. 17 has been canceled.
An event organizer said Tuesday that funding for the Fun Day, which is supported by an Elks grant, was denied.
Kim Sayer, spokesperson, said she got a call Sept. 14 that people wanted to set up a GoFundMe account for the event, but funding wouldn't be available in time for the original date.
"We're not going to have it by this Saturday, but we sure do hope to have it later in the year," Sayer said.
