CRESTVIEW — Some Crestview High School students have earned artistic achievement awards.
The 33rd Northwest Florida Tri-County Fair Fine Arts Show, held Sept. 27 to Oct. 1 in Fort Walton Beach, included middle school, high school and adult categories, according to CHS art teacher Lori Phillips.
"Crestview High School submitted a record total of 38 works of art,” she said.
Eva Stetler's collage, "Charlie," was one of the high school category’s two first-place winners. Stetler also received an honorable mention for her charcoal drawing, "A Quiet Friend."
CHS students taking home honorable mentions included Dakota Voyce for his scratchboard work, "The Grizz"; Gabriela Barr for her tempera (pigments blended with a binder) painting, "The Ladybug Wave"; Isabel Suero, for her tempera painting, "Happy Cow"; and Jillian Parker, for her scratchboard work, "Golden Gate."
