CRESTVIEW — A Crestview man faces four drug-related felony charges.
An Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office investigation that began in September led to the Nov. 2 execution of a search warrant at 4624 Scarlet Drive near Crestview, according to an OCSO media release.
Inside the home, investigators reportedly found approximately 77 grams of methamphetamine, nearly 52 grams of marijuana, numerous prescription narcotics, cash, assorted paraphernalia and evidence of a small-scale indoor marijuana growing operation.
Jacy D. McCuiston, 35, of Lakeview Drive, is charged with trafficking in methamphetamine; possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a church (Live Oak Baptist Church); possession of a controlled substance (prescription medication) with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a church; possession of drug paraphernalia; introduction of contraband into a correctional facility; and probation violation.
Investigators at the scene also charged Ashley Varnum, 31, with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
