Milton man sentenced, designated sexual predator

MILTON — Circuit Judge John F. Simon Jr. sentenced Sonny Lee Scallion, of Milton, to life sentences on all three counts of which he was convicted, State Attorney Bill Eddins announced.

Scallion was convicted Oct. 6, 2015, by a Santa Rosa County Jury on two counts of sexual battery-victim less than 12 years of age and one count of lewd or lascivious molestation-victim less than 12 years of age.

He committed the offenses upon the child at his home in Milton when the child was between 5 and 7 years of age. The abuse was originally reported to the Crestview Police Department and the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Department subsequently investigated the case.

Scallion also was designated a sexual predator.
