MILTON — The Santa Rosa County medical examiner has identified human remains discovered Oct. 28 near exit 26 off Interstate 10.
They belong to Steven Mitchell Swiney, 47, of Bagdad.
Swiney went missing from his residence last November.
The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office did not report a cause of death during its investigation following the discovery of the remains and this has not changed.
