CRESTVIEW — The Crestview Police Department is investigating a Wednesday evening

shooting incident in the Fox Valley subdivision off Antioch Road that led to the death of a

middle-aged male resident.

The Red Fern Road shooting followed a domestic disturbance involving the victim and his

wife. The victim died of his wound. It is as yet uncertain if the victim’s wound was self-inflicted.

Upon responding to a 6:48 p.m. report of the shooting, “Officers found a white male lying on

the floor with a single gunshot wound to the chest,” Deputy Chief Rick Brown said at the scene.

Crestview officers questioned the victim’s wife as well as neighbors. Officers have

responded to previous domestic disturbances at the home.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is assisting Crestview Police investigators in

the case.

As of Wednesday night, no arrest had been made in the incident, which remains under

investigation.

Further details will be released as they become available.
