CRESTVIEW — Here’s a calendar of upcoming events in North Okaloosa County and surrounding areas.

UPCOMING

BREAKFAST AND YARD SALE FUNDRAISER: 7 a.m. March 11, Blackman Community Center, 7590 U.S. Highway 198, north of Baker. Proceeds from a country breakfast, which costs $7 per person, and yard sale benefit the community center.

BASKET WEAVING CLASS: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 11, Heritage Museum, 115 Westview Ave., Valparaiso. $35-$40 per person. Bring an old towel, spray bottle and a snack if desired. 678-2615.

ADSO FUNDRAISER COOKOUT: 11 a.m. March 11, Arts and Design Society gallery, 17 First St. SE, Fort Walton Beach. Tickets: $12 per person, available at ADSO office. Featuring hamburgers, hotdogs and singer-guitarist Joe Weiss’ live music. Funds will help convert courtyard for functions and classes. JOSE DIAZ PERFORMANCES CANCELED: The Jose Diaz performances at the Crestview library, set for 6-7:30 p.m. March 13 and April 10, have been canceled. Artists who would like to perform on second Mondays at the library may call 682-4432.

STRESS SEMINAR: 5:30 p.m. March 14, Core Chiropractic, 1550 E. John Sims Parkway, Niceville. Dr. Dean Jacks will discuss how stress takes its toll on the body and seven steps to reduce stress now. RSVP: 678-8048.

TRI-COUNTY HORTICULTURE AND ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES: 10 a.m. March 16, E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center, 4956 State Highway 20 E., Freeport. Tour the center from 10-11:15 a.m., the garden from 11:15-11:45, and participate in an indoor or outdoor activity through 12:30 p.m. Bring a sack lunch for picnic tables. Drinks provided by the hostess club. Group meetings are free and open to anyone interested in learning more about gardening and the environment. No reservations or memberships required.
