Baker softball team sees more winning ways

CRESTVIEW — These days, the Baker girls softball team is seeing more winning ways. 

The team's record, as of this writing, is 5-14, but there were struggles earlier on. 

"We were on an 11 game losing streak but we had three wins before the losing streak started," Jenny Pope Sloan said. 

Gator stats from the Baker vs. Pensacola Catholic game (6-0) were as follows:

•Shelby Sloan, 3 for 4, 1 run, 2 RBI, 3 SB, 7 IP, 0 runs, 0 ER, 3 BB, 8K

•Emily Stewart, 1 for 4, 1 RBI

•Genesis Long, 1 for 4

•Jennifer Welch, 1 for 3, 1 run

•Jolee Sloan, 1 for 3, 1 run, 1 RBI

•Josie Mason, 1 for 2, 1 run, 1 RBI
