Baker cross country teams place second, sixth in Walton meet

BAKER — Two North Okaloosa County cross country teams competed Sept. 19 at G. Hurley Park in DeFuniak Springs.

Rocky Bayou Christian School placed first overall and Baker School placed second overall. Teams included Freeport and Walton, Paxton, Jay and Laurel Hill.

The girls placed second. Their notable times are:

•Eighth-grader Gabi Espinosa, 21:23, finished first.

•Seventh-grader Eliana Butler, 23:40, finished fifth.

•Seventh-grader Julia Knight, 25:11

•Sixth-grader Karley Bishop, 25:16

•10th-grader Allison Morse, 25:20

The boys placed sixth. Their notable times are:

•12th-grader Greg Chiatha, 20.02, finished 11th.

•Seventh-grader Jezreel Roy, 21.02

•Sixth-grader Max Moffet, 21.07

•Seventh-grader Max Chappell, 23:14

•Fifth-grader Jack Chappell, 23:15
