The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the Florida National Guard and the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs are partnering with CareerSource Florida regions to connect veterans with career opportunities through the fifth annual Paychecks for Patriots hiring event.
Thousands of veteran candidates and military family members who participated in the events across the state have gained employment as a result of the relationships formed during Paychecks for Patriots.
This year, the event has grown to a full week of programs across the state the week of Veterans Day, November 6-10. During this week, CareerSource Okaloosa Walton, will aim to match veterans with employers who value the knowledge, skills, and attributes attained during military service.
The event is set Nov. 7, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 409 Racetrack Road NE, Fort Walton Beach.
