CRESTVIEW — Gary and Doris Johnson of The New Way of Life Outreach Ministry in Crestview are accepting clothing, toys and monetary donations to provide Christmas presents for 350 boys and girls between ages 2 and 9.
"In Crestview and surrounding areas, there are kids who always say that Santa Claus is coming to town, but there are also kids that have only heard what those other kids say about Santa," the Johnsons stated.
"So we ask businesses, organizations and people that live in Okaloosa County and surrounding areas to help the New Way of Life Outreach Ministry bring Santa Claus to town. This will make these kids feel love, peace, joy and happiness."
Drop off donations, which are tax-deductible, at 398 Spring St. N, Crestview, or contact the Johnsons at 229-379-1741 or 398-0431 for pick-up. All donations, big or small, are welcome.
The Johnsons would also like to thank Hub City Smokehouse, John Marshall, Bill Walker, Ken Nielsen and Crestview Fire Department No. 1 and their spouses and kids, "as well as everyone else involved [with] making our Thanksgiving community dinner a success," Gary Johnson said.
