CRESTVIEW — Here are highlights involving area students:
Caleb Overton, a senior music major from Crestview, is among more than 1,400 Harding University students included on the dean's list for grades achieved during the fall 2017 semester.
The dean's list is published each semester by Dr. Marty Spears, university provost, honoring those who have achieved high scholarship. To be eligible, a student must be carrying 12 or more hours with a 3.65 or higher grade-point average and no incompletes.
Harding University is a private Christian university located in Searcy, Arkansas.
Sydney Diven of Crestview earned a spot on the fall 2017 dean's list at Valdosta State University. Students must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on nine or more semester hours with an institutional grade point average of 3.00 or higher for the honor.
Several students have earned fall 2017 dean's list honors at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Crestview campus. They are Walter Alamo, Clint Bitting, Maxwell Brock, Lloyd Burke, Lamaad Easton, Kyle Garger, Clayton King, Greg McFarren, Megan Peterson, Steven Shobe and Michael Traylor.
