CRESTVIEW — The Crestview Kiwanis Club recently donated $1,500 to local schools.

Members presented 15 teachers with $100 each.

"This is just a small way to show support and appreciation to the teachers who are helping to mold our youths," a Kiwanis media release stated.

The group also has been working on projects benefiting the community through the years, such as revitalizing the Crestview Environmental Center. They raise funds to support these projects with events such as a sporting clay shoot and the annual pancake breakfast.

The group's next fundraiser is Pancake Day Dec. 1 at Samuel's Roadhouse in Crestview. Tickets are $5 each at the door and include unlimited pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee, and a door prize entry.
