CRESTVIEW — Oktober Biker Fest will be held this Saturday on Main Street.
The event will begin at 3 p.m. and will be held in front of Hub City Smokehouse & Grill. The rest of Main Street will be open for parking.
In conjunction with the event, Fire & Iron Station 36 and Firefighters MC and Eagle Riders Group, Panhandle 4045 will be conducting a benefit run for Bikers Against Child Abuse. The run will begin at 10 a.m. at Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson and will finish at the festival in downtown Crestview.
During the festival there will be several German foods, including pretzels and bratwurst and German beer for sale. There will also be live German music performed by Hashtag Swing. As part of the Biker portion of the festival, motorcycles will line the street for people to look at and enjoy.
Main Street Crestview Association Executive Director Sandra Wilson said the event is for everyone, not just bikers and German enthusiasts.
“It’s going to be a really good time with some delicious food and lots of nice bikes,” Wilson said. “This is also an opportunity for people to see what all we have in our downtown area.”
During the event, different vendors will line the street. Harley-Davidson will also be out at the event with their JUMPSTART rider experience. According to the Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson website, the experience “combines a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a specially-designed, stationary support stand.”
Participants will sit on the stationary bike, but will have an experience as if they were actually riding down the road on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
