Two stolen vehicles recovered; 14-year old arrested

CRESTVIEW — Two stolen vehicles were recovered after an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy noticed a suspicious vehicle with no headlights driving slowly early Tuesday morning.

According to the OCSO, a deputy noticed the 2008 Ford F150 driving near S. Pearl Street shortly before 1 a.m.

When the deputy conducted a traffic stop, a 14-year-old driver fled on foot. He was apprehended a short time later with the assistance of the Crestview Police Department.

The 14-year-old told deputies he had stolen the vehicle from a home on Crooked Pine Trail earlier that night.

Further investigation led to the discovery of a second stolen vehicle, a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta, behind a church on Aplin Road. That discovery led to the arrest of 18-year old Keyshawn Terral Walker.

Deputies made contact with the owners of both vehicles, Neither were aware that their vehicles had been stolen.

Both teens are charged with one count of grand theft of a motor vehicle, according to the OCSO.
