CRESTVIEW — Recently the Crestview News Bulletin asked Crestview residents what businesses they would like to see come to the city next year.
The question was posted on Facebook and received almost 400 comments.
An overwhelming majority commented they would like to see the addition of some retail stores and restaurant chains.

Many people also agreed that any potential new businesses should be built either on Highway 90 or North Ferdon Boulevard.
“Traffic on (Highway) 85 is bad enough,” Joyce Wilhelm White commented. “If something was on HWY 90, maybe some people would not have to be on 85.”
When it comes to retail stores, many of the comments were the same. Residents said they would like to see a store such Target, Kohls, TJ Maxx or Costco come to the area.
“If Crestview were to get a Costco, it would increase our revenue,” Grace Lyn commented. “It would have people from all over the area coming here to shop!”
Other commented they would like to have larger chain restaurants to eat at. The top commented restaurants included Olive Garden, Texas Roadhouse and TGI Fridays.
Some of the other businesses that were suggested for the area included Old Navy, Chuck E Cheese and Sam’s Club.
“Bring some of the stores from Destin and Ft. Walton here,” Jari Baxter commented. “Think about it, we could keep the money here in Crestview.”
While most comments talked about possible new businesses, a few instead wanted to see an add-on to some businesses already here. Comments included adding another Walmart and Starbucks to the north side of town, while others suggested building another high school to accommodate for the high number of students in the city.
