CRESTVIEW — The driver of an AAA Waste dump truck was taken to a local hospital after the vehicle overturned Friday afternoon.
The accident occurred around noon on Colonel Greg Malloy Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The driver, whose name has yet to be released, was on his way to the landfill located on Colonel Greg Malloy Road. As the driver began to go around a curve, the unsecured load caused the truck to overturn, the FHP said.
The accident caused a partial blockage of the road until 2:30 p.m.
The driver of the vehicle was taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center with minor injuries, the FHP said.
OC’s Towing responded to scene to take care of the overturned dump truck.
