Crestview New Year's celebration cancelled

CRESTVIEW — The New Year's Eve celebration scheduled Dec. 31 in downtown Crestview was cancelled earlier today.

Inclement weather is expected this new year, so the city of Crestview's Jan. 31 celebration is cancelled.

In an emailed newsletter, the Main Street Crestview organizers stated, "Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate the way we wanted it to. It has been decided to cancel this evening's festivities and we apologize for any inconvenience this decision may cause.

"We hope that you all still have a safe and happy New Year!"
