CRESTVIEW — Making up for a planned April 15 date that got rained out, on April 22, a group of 16 city of Crestview employees volunteered to attack the roof of a new Habitat for Humanity house being erected not far from City Hall, completing it in less than a day.
The team represented a broad spectrum of the city workforce and included City Manager Tim Bolduc and employees of the police, fire, Public Services, Administrative Services, Parks and Recreation, and Community Development Services departments.
“I was grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community,” IT specialist Michael Bell said. “It felt great to be helping someone get into his new home.”
The city periodically offers employees volunteer opportunities within the Crestview to help make their community a better place.
