The Crestview Police Department is the host agency again this year for the North Okaloosa County portion of the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Florida.

This year's run is 8.30 a.m. next Wednesday, March 28, and goes from the new north Crestview Publix south on Industrial Drive to the Crestview Police Department's home at the Whitehurst Municipal Building on Stillwell Boulevard.

"We welcome law enforcement officers of any agency from throughout the area to join us. We also welcome the public (and our media friends!) to line the route and cheer us and our fellow officers and deputies as we run by," CPD Public Information Officer Brian Hughes said.
