Crestview film fans to serve on Film Club board

Two Crestview residents, Montavius Diamond and Michael Valdez, second and third from left, were unanimously elected secretary and president of the Northwest Florida State College Film Club Thursday night for the 2016-17 school year. CRESTVIEW — Two Crestview residents, Montavius Diamond and Michael Valdez were unanimously elected secretary and president of the Northwest Florida State College Film Club Thursday night for the 2016-17 school year.

Diamond is a NWF State College alumnus. The other board members are current students.

The club meets monthly in the Art Wing of the college’s Mattie Kelly Performing Arts Center to view a film selected by club members and discuss it afterward.

Humanities professor Dr. David Simmons advises the club and facilitates its discussions. Membership is open to any film enthusiast.
