CRESTVIEW — This May, the CHS Theatre department is presenting “Emma! A Pop Musical,” based on the Jane Austen book of the same name. The movie "Clueless" is also based on this novel.
The story takes place at Highbury Prep School as Emma Woodhouse plays matchmaker for her peers and teachers with one consequence, she is unable to see the boy who loves her because she is too preoccupied with playing matchmaker.
Songs include the Dixie Cups' “Going to the Chapel,” Whitney Houston’s “How Will I know,” Cindy Lauper’s “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” Katy Perry’s “Roar,” and many other well-known songs.
The cast and crew has been set and rehearsals are already underway. The following students will be participating in the production.
