3 Crestview residents among dental assisting graduates

NICEVILLE — Twenty students have successfully completed Northwest Florida State College's vocational certificate program in dental assisting for the 2014-15 academic year.

This graduating class — the largest in the program's history — includes Crestview residents

Kristen Hoalt, Elya Lopez, Caitlin Slater and Kasey Watkins. Slater earned the Outstanding Dental Assisting Student Award for Academics.

The dental assisting program is a competitive admission, three-semester program that provides students extensive clinical experiences. Twenty-four applicants annually are selected for the program, with training beginning in August.
