Goose kicker receives jail sentence

CRESTVIEW —Alyssa Lyon Pack, charged in November with kicking geese at Twin Hills Park, has been ordered to undergo psychological evaluation and take an anger management course.

County Judge Jim Ward sentenced Pack, 20, of Baker, to 60 days in the county jail but agreed to suspend it if she met conditions set forth by the court.

Pack had pleaded guilty Monday to the charge of cruelty to animals.

Pack was caught taunting and kicking geese at the Crestview park in an online video that circulated widely over social media.

Crestview police arrested her Nov. 15, two days after the incident.

Along with the anger management and psychological evaluation, Pack will be required to work 200 hours of community service and pay court costs.

Kimberly Blackman, a supervisor of the court’s criminal division, said Pack's attorney negotiated the plea agreement.

Pack had failed to show up to enter a plea in her case Dec. 10.
