CRESTVIEW — Eating a healthy breakfast has paid off for Crestview High School freshman Caitlin Nunez.

In addition to nutritional benefits, she won a new iPad.

Caitlin was wrapping up first period Friday morning when Principal Bob Jones, cafeteria manager Lynn Rogers, Sodexo general manager Larry Haile and Sodexo field supervisor Jo Marcotte entered her classroom.

Clasping her hands over her mouth, Caitlin could hardly control her glee when Haile handed her the gift-wrapped tablet.

"I can't believe it!" she said. "I'm going to tell my dad about this and then play games."

The Dairy Council of Florida gave three iPads to one winner each at the elementary, middle and high school levels in Okaloosa County.

Other winners were at Destin Elementary and Bruner Middle Schools.

During the spring contest, if a student selected a yogurt parfait for breakfast with a special tag on the bottom, the student's name was entered into the iPad drawing. Winning students' names were drawn at random.
