New Krystal restaurant will employ 83 workers during opening period

Krystal assistant manager Santana Wilson pauses while reviewing paperwork for the fast food restaurant's Tuesday opening.

CRESTVIEW — Krystal employees have been scrubbing, polishing, assembling, erecting and washing as staffers aim for the hamburger restaurant's Tuesday opening.

The restaurant, located onSouth Ferdon Boulevard opposite Dunkin' Donuts, will employ 83 people during the opening period.

After assessing how the new workers perform, assistant manager Santana Wilson said more may be hired after the first three weeks.

"But people can come in and get an application now," she said.

The opening — moved up from its original planned date at the end of October — is good news for Crestview resident Alex Andrews, an avid fan of Krystal's little square burgers.

"They're my favorite fast food," Alex said. "Them and Chic-fil-A."
