CHECK IT OUT: Tell your library story

Libraries are essential to the communities they serve. Yet many times we hear reporting that they’ve become “irrelevant.”

Libraries are facing real challenges, but they’re also working hard — and smart — to keep pace with user needs and changing technologies.

Here’s your chance to tell your library story. Visit and share the brand-new online community My Library Story to talk about the great things our library does every day.

Gale Cengage, one of our resource providers, is donating $1 to help libraries for every story submitted now through Feb. 28. All money raised will be donated to an advertising fund used to promote libraries through mainstream media during National Library Week April 12-18.

Go to mystory.gale.com  to share your story. Don’t hold back; let your library pride show!

Sandra Dreaden is the Crestview Public Library's reference librarian.
