Northwest Florida State College has signed a pledge to support the Got Your 6 program, which helps student veterans by implementing resources, programs and policies to help them.
Got Your 6 is a movement led by a consortium of major film and television studios, broadcast and cable television networks, talent agencies and guilds.

The college has also joined more than 94 schools collaborating with the Department of Veterans Affairs in the VetSuccess on Campus program. The college opened a VetSuccess Center on the Niceville campus and hired a vocational rehabilitation counselor to assist veterans with the transition from military service to academic life.
