CRESTVIEW — A 29-year-old man is charged with assault with intent to commit a felony after allegedly threatening his mother with a knife when she threatened to revoke his game privileges.
Adam Bruegenhemke, Crestview, told police he wanted to hurt his mother because she had been “driving [him] up the wall,” according to an arrest report. He said he pulled the knife out to trim his nails and told his mother that he was going to throw the knife at her.
According to the report, his mother said he began calling her names and said “I will stab you … if you don’t quit tellin’ me what to do, I’m gonna kill you, and you think I’m not gonna do it, I’m gonna do it.”
The report states she said when he pulled the knife out and stared at her, she left briefly to get another person out of the house. She said when she got ready to leave the house, Bruegenhemke was looking back and forth between her and the knife.
