COVER STORY: Crestview man 'cooks from the heart' at his downtown restaurant

CRESTVIEW — For Albert Wright, deciding to open a restaurant just made sense.

"Cooking is my passion; it's something that I love to do," The Wright Choice Soul Food's owner and head cook says. "If you don't have a passion for what you do, then you shouldn't do it."

But the opposite is true if you have talent to match that passion. Realizing that, and a nudge from his wife, Kareca, drove him to open his downtown restaurant.

Reporter Matthew Brown spoke with Wright and his wife about the restaurant, how the Crestview Area Chamber of Commerce's Triple B Festival played a role in its establishment and what cooking from the heart means.
