CRESTVIEW — Laura Pink's classroom is festooned with aviation and space-themed visuals, reflecting her love of flight.
That enthusiasm has earned her the Civil Air Patrol Southeast Region's Aerospace Education Teacher of the Year award. It follows the Antioch Elementary School teacher's receipt of the CAP Florida Wing's state honor.

Pink, a third-grade gifted and inclusion teacher, was instrumental in bringing the CAP's Aerospace Connections in Education, or ACE, program to Antioch and other local schools. Bob Sikes Elementary currently participates; Walker Elementary is a past participant.
