Okaloosa School District gets an A

Preliminary information shows Okaloosa's school district has bounced back to the top after experiencing a grade drop in the 2012-13 school year.

Although high school grades are still pending, it appears the district, overall, earned A's based on student performance during the 2013-14 school year.

Last year, Okaloosa received a B.

No Okaloosa schools received an F.

This will be the final year elementary and middle school grades are based on student performance on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test.

In the upcoming school year, a new grading system, approved by the State Legislature and aimed at simplifying the grading process, will be implemented.
