Okaloosa Strykers, Blackwater Grizzlies to play at Twin Hills Park

CRESTVIEW — The semi-pro Okaloosa Strykers and Blackwater Grizzlies will play football games next season at Twin Hills Park in Crestview.

“The Okaloosa Strykers would like to thank the city of Crestview for giving us the opportunity to use the Twin Hills Park football field for our upcoming season,” Okaloosa Strykers owner Demario Thomas said.

Grizzlies owner Tim Parsons also expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to use the Crestview facility.

"With hard work, determination, and a commitment to each other, we hope to represent the Crestview community and our Panhandle region as a whole in an outstanding manner, both on and off the athletic field of competition,” he said. “In addition, we would like to sincerely thank our city of Crestview Public Services Department, our local Elks Lodge Chapter No. 2624, and City Councilman Mr. Tom Gordon for their outstanding (support) of our team and organization."

While Crestview will be paid for using Twin Hills Park facility, Gordon said he encouraged the Strykers and Grizzlies to locate and play the games in Crestview to bring additional entertainment and business to Crestview and its residents.
